Fed: Recession continues to ease in the West

Real Estate still weak-

The economy in California and the West posted further modest improvement from early April through the end of May, the Federal Reserve says Wednesday in its Beige Book report for June.

Residential real estate activity in many Districts was buoyed by the April deadline for the homebuyer tax credit, the Beige Book says. Commercial real estate remained weak, although some Districts reported an increase in leasing. Commercial Real Estate is starting it’s melt down and foreclosures will be on the rise here just as with Residential Real Estate,
